The Band

Born in Malaysia, Anis has been singing since she was old enough to walk and professionally since she left school. She has sung as a duo, trio and every combination up to a full show band – including Lee Vasey, one of the biggest bands on the circuit in Norfolk.

A versatile vocalist, she is as happy singing ballads as being a rock chick, but her heart lies in R&B, being influenced by international artists such as Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.  Anis may be small in stature but she packs a big voice and her enthusiasm and energy on stage is contagious!

Alex began playing drums age 7 listening to the radio and playing along using his mum’s knitting needles. While still in the 6th form at school he was playing in the resident band at a holiday camp on the coast. In the 80’s he twice performed live on John Peel’s Radio 1 show with Norwich (UEA based) Indie/Funk band Ju-Ju. Over the years Alex has played with numerous local bands, playing West Coast Rock, Jazz, Funk and Reggae. Also turning his hand to club DJing in the 80’s & 90’s Alex was resident DJ at Norwich Ritzy and the Waterfront. With this wealth of musical experience Alex knows how to lay down a mean groove!

Jim provides the wrist destroying funky rhythms and chops.

Marcus does not have the “weak womanly fingers” of a guitar princess.  He has the muscular stumps of a bass man….
